  • The City Council hosted a work session on October 13th in which I made my stance clear — Flock has no place in Robbinsdale. Their contract is unclear, their representative never showed up to our meetings, and we don’t want to put residents’ privacy at risk.

    Some city staff mentioned replacing the Flock cameras with a different type of ALPR (automatic license plate reader). From my view, the company is only part of the problem. ALPRs use artificial intelligence to surveil who goes where and when, with the intention being to solve crime. However, in the aftermath of Operation Metro Surge, I am deeply concerned with how that data could be used or abused.

    I will continue to vote against ALPR use in Robbinsdale. To repeat Ward 3 candidate Sofi Villena’s statement, “Safety is not surveillance.”

  • I am generally supportive of the endeavor to add a light rail stop in Robbinsdale. I’ve heard your concerns about logistics, location, and the associated cost, and I am open to alternative ideas regarding the specifics of the project. However, this project was voted on before my time on the Council; it’s been 20+ years in the making, and it’s likely to be built, as the 90% plans are already in place. As it stands, the City Council has no ability to vote on this topic. In short, the light rail question is beyond my control, much as I’d like the opportunity to provide input on it.

    Yes. I moved here with my wife in April of 2025. Given my experience and education, I felt the need to get involved immediately when Operation Metro Surge affected my community. Many of my constituents have lived here longer than I have, but I bring a listening ear and fresh perspective to our City Council. My wife and I chose to invest in this community, so I didn’t wait to get involved.

  • No, I am not a member of the DSA. I am, however, supported by the Minnesota DFL, and I’m proud to have their support.

  • My wife, Lilly, and I designed my website, Facebook pages, flyers, and t-shirts. Our lawn signs and buttons were designed by Abigail Langlois Consulting!

    I have not and will not use A.I. for any posts or materials. As I mentioned at the League of Women Voters forum, I believe that how you campaign is how you will govern. The way I govern is authentic, transparent, and well-researched.

  • Lilly and I spend as much time together as we can. We love sports, trying new restaurants, and spending time with our friends and family.

    Although we haven’t had much time for hobbies with the campaigning, I play basketball, spend time with my six-year-old sister, and hang out with my friends.

    Lilly is a speech-language pathologist for a local school district, serving kids between birth and age 3. Lilly has been so helpful explaining the way school districts work with relation to the current reality of Robbinsdale. In her free time, she loves to read, cook, and go for runs.
